Appearance:
Light golden with a healthy head that appears to retain. Odd that it does so more than their Hefe?
Smell:
Slightly lagerish in aroma with mild aged hops in the back.
Taste:
Loads of malt flavor for a light ale, some citrus and a heavy dose of diacetyl (like butter, and there is a bit of cooked veggies as well). The small use of wheat is apparent and helps to lighten and dry it up at the end.
Notes:
Quite complex for a light beer. Much different from our bright tank samples at the brewery which were less stripped and fuller -- none the less very enjoyable. 5.37 percent abv.
