So did you go out to the theater this weekend? If you did you weren't alone, movie-goers spent hundreds of millions at the box office! But who came out on top? Did Big Red take #1? Has 3D returned as a viable movie format? Or did a guy named Dave surprise us all? (ok, I didn't even take that seriously.)
Well here's a look at the top 5 grossing flicks this weekend:
1. Hellboy II, $35.8 MILLION
2. Hancock, $33 MILLION
3. Journey 3D, $20.5 MILLION
4. Wall-E, $18.5 MILLION
5. WANTED, $11.5 MILLION
That's right, Hellboy II took the top spot this weekend by a mere $2 MILLION - it looks like Will Smith's Hancock is still going strong in its second week on the screen.
Eddie Murphy's Meet Dave managed to only gross $3 MILLION - which is a Hiroshima-sized bomb.
I'm not surprised that Hellboy II took the top spot, but there's no way it'll last up against The Dark Knight, in theaters this friday!
Should I even both doing a Box Office Beatdown next weekend? Or do we all agree that Batman is going to be King, hands down?
Let me know what YOU think below!
