Fawksy Holly chimes in on what to think of TPC's first full-length album...

Having only heard a couple of Tokyo Police Club songs before, my review of this album is biased toward TPC n00bs. That being said, I think their newest album, Elephant Shell, is...well, consistent.

I'm not saying it's bad, because it's catchy in a mellow kinda way, but all the songs sound like each other. The similarity of all the songs makes this album almost entrancing - don't listen to it while driving! While this is clearly not something that everyone looks for in an album, it IS a decent album that you can put on as background music...for sleeping...or, you know...bonin'.

Beyond this, it is definitely one of those albums that follows your mood. If you're depressed while you listen to it, it'll make you feel the most bummed out you will ever feel. If you're feeling cheerful, it kinda makes you want to dance around in your underwear. Speaking of dancing, my choice of song to dance to on this album would hands-down be Your English Is Good. The group chanting totally makes you want to jump in and the song is decidedly more upbeat than the rest of the album.

Now, if you'll excuse me, the song is on and I must dance. *takes off pants*
