Cook the Idol

The seventh season of American Idol finally wrapped up last night with a battle between David Cook and David Archuleta. The older David, Cook, ended up beating out the younger Archuleta by around 12 million votes. In total more than 97 million votes were cast and more than 30 million people tuned in for the episode which ended its season long ratings slump.

We don’t like American Idol and we sure as hell don’t care about who won, but it might be a useful tidbit of information to know just incase you hear some hot chicks talking about the finale sometime this weekend. What we’re more interested in is how more than triple the amount of votes were cast than there were people watching. It seems stupid to let someone vote more than once, but I guess at the same time the phone voting systems are just a cash grab anyways. If you did vote for American Idol last night we just want to thank you for funding their next season, idiot.

Tequila Disses Paris

Myspace celebrity, lame reality TV show star and possible Asian prostitute Tila Tequila or Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, if you feel daring enough to try and pronounce that, decided to take a couple of jabs at Paris Hilton in a recent interview with E.W. Tila says she has reached her goals, and wants to do meaningful things not prance around like Paris Hilton looking for scandals to stay big. The woman that was the prize ion MTV’s “A Shot at Love” then said she just wants to move to an island and have kids.

First things first, does Tila Tequila actually think she’s a celebrity? Paris Hilton didn’t do much to become famous but she did more than post slutty pictures on Myspace. We wouldn’t mind if Tila ended up on an island either…as long as she got there via a plane crash and the island was deserted. Obviously we would want her to be able to survive, we just don’t want to ever hear from her or abut her again.
